OPTIMAL INFRASTRUCTURE FOR Offshore Wind

Our infrastructure is designed for your offshore wind operations. As Scotland’s largest berthage port, our quayside stretches 7,400m, accommodating vessels up to 300m in length.

We provide 2,800 metres of deepwater berths to a maximum depth of 15 metres, ultra heavy-lift areas, 125,000sqm of flexible laydown space, and ample project areas to support your requirements.

From survey to construction, installation and commissioning, operations and maintenance, through to decommissioning, Port of Aberdeen offers a world-class marine logistics base to support the safe and efficient of delivery of offshore wind projects.

Blue Tern

The Blue Tern offshore wind jack-up installation vessel required a suitable quayside for maintenance and miscellaneous tasks such as bunkering and crew changes. 

Port of Aberdeen and agent, Clarksons Port Services, swiftly offered quayside and jacking location at the new Aberdeen South Harbour. This allowed all required activities to completed safely and efficiently in a few weeks. The Blue Tern has since returned to Port of Aberdeen in August 2023.
