Port of Aberdeen partners with Recycl8 on sustainable construction initiative
Port of Aberdeen, in partnership with Aberdeenshire based sustainable technology firm Recycl8, announce the successful completion of their first joint project.
The project involved Recycl8, in conjunction with Inverurie Precast, manufacture concrete blocks for the North Harbour South Breakwater defences in addition to carrying out essential slipway repairs across the port's North Harbour.
Recycl8 was selected for the project due to their unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, which aligns perfectly with the port's goal to become the UK’s first net zero port by 2040.

Recycl8 also collaborated with construction materials specialists, Breedon Group, to supply their patented sustainable, lower carbon R8 Mix concrete.
