Port of Aberdeen highly commended at APM Project Management Awards 2024

Port of Aberdeen and Turner & Townsend were highly commended in the 'Engineering, Construction & Infrastructure Project of the Year' category at the APM Project Management Awards 2024 which took place on Monday 18 November at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.

The 'Engineering, Construction & Infrastructure Project of the Year' category focused on recognising and rewarding excellence in projects that demonstrate the most effective use of project management and the greatest benefits and outcomes to end users in engineering, construction and infrastructure projects of any scale across all sectors. 

The commendation acknowledged the exceptional performance of the port’s £420 million Aberdeen South Harbour expansion, the UK's largest marine infrastructure project in Trust Port history, highlighting its outstanding delivery, results, and the expertise and dedication of the project team.

Port of Aberdeen and Turner & Townsend were also praised for generating new jobs, supporting over a dozen apprentices, and benefiting more than 30 local organisations.
