Head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ)

Reports To: CEO
Role: Full time, permanent (36.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday)
Salary: Up to £83,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

We are looking for a Head of SHEQ to develop and lead the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality strategy in delivery of Port of Aberdeen’s strategic plan.

The role will provide leadership and direction to the SHEQ team in the implementation, management and evaluation of the integrated management system and will promote the continual improvement in the health, safety and environmental culture and performance of the port.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) the Head of SHEQ will work closely with the other ELT members to define and deliver the strategic priorities of the port, assisting in communicating them throughout the organisation, whilst supporting and nurturing a culture of empowerment amongst port employees. Examples of the Strategic priorities requiring support are funding applications, innovation initiatives and the Port’s net zero strategy.
